In this transition, each of us has become future-ready even before we thought of it, similarly, we have also obtained so many options unlatched. When we were kids, we all wanted to become a doctor, someday a lawyer, or maybe run a business or something. Skip to 20 years and you see different career choices right in front of you. The follow-up question is how does one know which career is best suited for them? So, I happened to recently read this book The Defining Decade by Meg Jay- which had a very beautiful case study I’d like to share. It is called the Jam experiment, so they choose a local grocery store to understand one's life choices. So, there were two conditions, one which has six flavors available for tasting, whereas in the second condition it has six plus the eighteen more flavors of jam. Cut to the chase study showed that the twenty-four-flavor table attracted more attention yet resulted in fewer buyers. If you are in your down phase, start brick by brick thank about a skill you learned, if not skill thank that you didn’t get sick and if we got sick thank that you at least did not die. All in all, there are alway...

Change is the only constant

Image
Everyday is a fresh start, each daylight is different from the other. We face changes in our regular life be it in our schedule, relations, simple weather changes and so on. We have to absorb these changes however the way they are. Considering the situation which we all are going through, and where every second people are fading. Do you ever take a moment to be grateful that you can read this while you are alive? Earlier we couldn't operate as it was a sudden stop to our lives; our brains simply couldn't process that we had shut into our homes. The shock was such that we realized that our social life needed to be held back. More like our fast living life was forced to be on a break. Beauty about human is that we don't settle for anything, we need time but we adapt. One essential thing we realise in such situations is that we have to pull out time for ourselves. I have seen that people have started reacting practically for their health and priorities. Changes aff...
