As it is rightly said, develop an attitude of gratitude. In recent times, it is mainly overlooked, as people have been going through so much and it is hardly possible for some to be positive. As a matter of fact, gratitude is a great exercise which can allow us to tune into details of our lives which we often ignore. It could be as small as thanking for someone’s generous act, thanking god for good food and so on. Might not make complete sense to you, but let me tell you why one should be grateful.
One common key in people who are successful is that they practice gratitude in some way or the other. How does it work? It is not like they haven’t been through pitfalls, of course they have but it depends on how you take it. Gratitude is something that you need to feel from inside. If you are in your down phase, start brick by brick thank about a skill you learned, if not skill thank that you didn’t get sick and if we got sick thank that you at least did not die. All in all, there are always things around to appreciate. It is just up to us, whether we wish to see it or not. Once you start feeling good from inside, you will notice that your surroundings change too. In addition, there have been books and it is proved that expressing your gratitude towards something can do wonders. Try it by yourself, express gratitude to someone you adore, thank your maid for the service, feel grateful for your job or anything and you will notice instantly that your mood lightens up. Not only one should count blessings during low phases but also during the good times. It is about showing your heartfelt appreciation.
Finally, one most significant thing gratitude is a skill so make sure you do it with all your heart. Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. By and large, it can help you build relations, improve health and it is for the greater good. Gratitude can be summed up as a way of thinking where you acknowledge what you get and you are boundless.
